KL Rahul prioritizes sleep with his personal mattress.

KL Rahul took personal comfort a step further, bringing a foldable mattress in the luggage compartment. This isn't due to health concerns, but rather a preference for consistent sleep conditions. Reportedly, Rahul prefers his own mattress to the softer hotel beds for optimal rest and recovery.

Upon arrival in Birmingham, Jasprit Bumrah quickly located a grocery store near the coach station to pick up essentials. The rest of the team settled into their luxury hotel, preparing for their stay.

Head coach Gautam Gambhir and batting coach Sitanshu Kotak continued their routine of evening strolls, a practice observed since the Champions Trophy in Dubai. The duo was seen exploring a well-known local spot.

Endless Coffee Runs

The coffee runs that began in Leeds are set to continue in Birmingham, before moving on to London and Manchester, becoming a regular fixture for the team. Players have been seen venturing out in groups for coffee and meals, especially before the series opener at Headingley.

The senior players have made it a point to spend time with the younger members of the squad during downtime. Before boarding the bus to Birmingham, players like Kuldeep Yadav, Karun Nair, Dhruv Jurel, Yashasvi Jaiswal, along with fielding coach T Dilip, ensured they were caffeinated before Rishabh Pant and Arshdeep Singh took control of the music on the Bluetooth speaker.

The team had a day off from training, but cricketing activities are expected to resume on Friday.
