Shanaya Kapoor, the daughter of Sanjay and Maheep Kapoor, has revealed her perspective on romance in the age of fast dating. Despite being a Gen Z icon, she identifies as an old-school romantic, valuing deep connections and long-term relationships.
Before venturing into acting, Shanaya gained valuable experience as an Assistant Director on 'Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl', starring her cousin Janhvi Kapoor. Now, she is poised to make her Bollywood debut.
In a recent interview, Shanaya shared her thoughts on love and relationships, stating that while she is part of a generation known for its detached approach to dating, she personally cherishes traditional romantic values.
"I consider myself an old-school girl when it comes to love," Shanaya confessed. "I look for a long-term relationship and I am not quick to move on. When I find that special person, they become like home to me. I want to find that feeling of home and that sense of comfort."
Shanaya also emphasized the importance of finding a partner who understands the demands of her profession. As an artist, her work extends beyond the typical nine-to-five schedule, often blurring the lines between professional and personal life.
Finding someone who can bring balance and stability is essential, she explained, further highlighting her commitment to old-school values.
Shanaya Kapoor is set to make her Bollywood debut in the romantic drama 'Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan' alongside Vikrant Massey. The film, directed by Santosh Singh, is scheduled for release on July 11. Additionally, she will star in 'Tu Yaa Main', a survival thriller directed by Bejoy Nambiar, opposite Adarsh Gourav. The film, produced by Aanand L Rai, is slated for release on Valentine’s Day 2026.
