Shanaya Kapoor Credits Ananya Panday and Suhana Khan for Guiding Her Bollywood Journey
Shanaya Kapoor is embarking on her Bollywood journey with her debut film, Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan, and she's not alone. She has the support of her childhood friends, Ananya Panday and Suhana Khan, who understand the pressures of the industry firsthand. Shanaya speaks openly about the strength of their bond, the dreams they've shared since childhood, and the unwavering support that has helped her navigate her path to the big screen.
In a recent interview with Bollywood Bubble, Shanaya discussed the deep connection she shares with Ananya Panday and Suhana Khan. She describes their relationship as a true sisterhood, emphasizing that they've grown up together dreaming of film careers. Now that their dreams are becoming reality, it feels almost unbelievable. As the daughter of actor Sanjay Kapoor and Maheep Kapoor, Shanaya comes from a family deeply involved in the industry, with cousins like Janhvi, Khushi, Sonam, and Arjun Kapoor all making their mark in Bollywood.
Shanaya highlighted that her friendship with Suhana Khan and Ananya Panday, the daughters of Shah Rukh Khan and Chunky Panday respectively, is built on unconditional support. She revealed that whenever something new about her is released, Suhana and Ananya are always the first to reach out. Their connection extends beyond the industry, based on genuine affection and mutual encouragement.
She further explained that Ananya Panday has been instrumental in guiding her through her initial experiences in the film industry. From helping her understand what works and what doesn't to simply being there for every new experience, Ananya has provided unwavering support. Shanaya described their bond, as well as her connection with Suhana Khan, as a true sisterhood. She considers it a blessing to pursue their dreams together, share their experiences, and support each other through the ups and downs.
Shanaya's long-awaited Bollywood debut has faced its share of delays and changes. Initially planned with Dharma Productions' Bedhadak, the film was eventually shelved. She was later cast in Vrusshabha, starring Mohanlal, which began filming in 2023 but is still awaiting release. Recently, Shanaya appeared in Guru Randhawa's music video Vibe, giving fans a preview of her screen presence before her film debut.
