South Africa off-spinner Prenelan Subrayen has been reported for a suspect bowling action following his debut in the first ODI against Australia in Cairns on Tuesday (August 19).
"The match officials' report specified concerns about the legality of Subrayen's action," the ICC said in a media release.
Subrayen bowled his full quota of 10 overs and claimed the wicket of Travis Head, who was stumped after charging down the track. South Africa won the match by 98 runs and took a 1-0 series lead.
The 31-year-old, who earlier this year made his Test debut against Zimbabwe in Bulawayo and picked up four wickets in the first innings, will now undergo an independent assessment of his action at an ICC-accredited testing facility.
